I was so sick yesterday that I actually stayed home and watched an hour of Barney. An hour! It's strange seeing the unconditional love a day-glo dinosaur pledges to us all. I guess little kids need that sense of unwavering devotion because some of them don't get it at home, but when you search his eyes there is really no love. Just beads.
I am going back to bed.

The U.S. Congress has decided to address the complicated issue of internet piracy in the manner a chainsaw addresses rosethorns. As several million other websites have already noted, The Senate's "Protect IP Act" and House's "Stop Online Piracy Act" would censor or shut down entire swaths of the internet under vague terms that undermine First Amendment rights.
