The comic also allowed me to do what every cartoonist loves most: draw a crowd of angry gorillas.

Guys Wonderella is four years old! Speaking of Cathy, I started out Wonderella to make an off-the-clock superhero who was an average woman instead of some 24/7 warrior... though somewhere along the line, "average woman" became a cross between Elaine Benes and Zelda Fitzgerald.

With books, as with children, you want to achieve more on the follow-ups, so I'll be adding a number of additional features, including:

  • Alternate comic cutscenes
  • Storyboard versions of the cast
  • An excerpt from Wonderella's own book, "Rainbow Shards"
  • vague promises of more!

I'll open pre-orders in a couple weeks. In the meantime, the comic should roll out as usual next Saturday.

Book update: I am on the verge of missing my Shark Week deadline to have the 2nd Wonderella book finished, so I'll be dedicating the next week to finishing that up... which unfortunately means no comic on August 7. Sorry about that! I'll keep you posted in this tiny newsbox with more book news.
