About
The Non-Adventures of Wonderella is a superhero parody about a woman with all the powers of Wonder Woman and none of the enthusiasm for actually being a superhero.
Created in 2006, the comic follows Wonderella and her ever-expanding cast of heroes, villains, sidekicks, and assorted weirdos as they deal with the usual superhero nonsense, along with pop culture, corporate greed, and the general absurdity of modern life.
After about fifteen years, several hundred comics, and one Kickstarter, I took a hiatus in 2019. Life happened, I started a family, and the years got away from me a bit. I finally started making comics again at the end of 2024, and I've been slowly getting back into the swing of things ever since. I'm not working on a weekly schedule anymore, but there are still stories I want to tell.
There's also been a change in who's wearing the cape. Dana Price, the original Wonderella, has been forced into retirement, leaving her former sidekick Rita to take up the mantle. She's inherited the job, the baggage, and a reputation that isn't entirely her fault. The good news is that Rita actually wants to be a superhero.
If you're new here, welcome! There's a fairly extensive archive to explore, but you don't need to do your homework before jumping into the newer comics. And if you've been around since the beginning, thanks for sticking around. It's nice to be doing this again.
